Towards "Good" Native Land Governance

Sarawak is the largest state in Malaysia, where two-thirds of population are Indigenous. This study aims to evaluate, through lens good governance principles, current practice State’s formal land lands associated with Native Customary Rights (hereafter known as governance). Being quantitative nature, this conceptualises an evaluation framework for principles applied governance. Next, empirically tests out by adopting a multi-criteria decision-making tool The Technique Order Preference Similarity Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). TOPSIS analysis enables integration perceptions between State/private groups and Indigenous groups. output summarised strength, weakness, opportunity, threat (SWOT) format according closeness value.
